About fabrizio’s

Our Story

Tucked away in the charming village of Trewern (near Welshpool) lies Fabrizio’s Italian Restaurant – a culinary haven that effortlessly blends the passion of Roman cuisine with the warmth of Welsh hospitality. The journey began in the spring of 2016 when Fabrizio, a true Roman, wanted to create a space where the flavours of his homeland would dance on the palates of those thousands of miles away from Italy.

From Rome to Welshpool

Fabrizio was born amidst the bustling lanes and picturesque squares of Rome in 1967. Growing up in a family where food was not just sustenance but an expression of love and tradition, it was inevitable that Fabrizio would carry forward this legacy. The aroma of simmering sauces, fresh herbs, and the laughter shared over meals became his childhood symphony, and the kitchen, his playground.

Crafting Culinary Experiences

Our menu is a reflection of Fabrizio’s rich Roman roots. Each dish is carefully crafted, containing years of tradition, memories, and the culinary secrets passed down through generations. Our linguine all’Amatriciana and Carbonara are more than just dishes – they’re an experience, a memory of the bustling trattorias and family dinners back in Rome. Our pizzas, hand-tossed and baked to perfection, echo Fabrizio’s dedication to authenticity and quality.

A Family Business

More than just a restaurant, Fabrizio’s is a family. A family that extends beyond its staff to every customer that walks through its doors. Each meal here is a celebration – of culture, tradition, and the bonds that food can forge. We believe in making every moment count, in savouring every bite, and in the joy of sharing a meal.

Commitment to Quality

Sourcing the finest ingredients, many of which are flown in directly from Italy, is a testament to our commitment to authenticity. Whether it’s the rich olives from the Mediterranean regions or the ripe tomatoes from the sun-kissed fields of Italy, we ensure that every ingredient is chosen with care and love.
